Pluto and the Galactic Center

Dear Readers,

Pluto's long slow orbit around our solar system connects us with the outer reaches of space and in doing so, brings perspective into our lives. Pluto is the planet of radical cleansing, transformation and power, and he connects with the heart of our Milky Way, the Galactic Center, throughout 2006 and 2007. See below for specific dates.

Pluto connects with the GC every 250 years or so. As seen from our place here on Earth, the heart of the Milky Way is almost at 27° Sagittarius. At this place lives a black hole. A black hole is an astronomical phenomenon. It is a place where things disappear. Rich with deep dark gravity it exerts such a sucking force that it pulls cosmic debris into it. It's really quite tiny in diameter relative to our solar system, but so dense that its gravitational pull is extraordinarily strong.

In many ways this black hole is reminiscent of our Sun, around which our dear Earth revolves, and around which the other planets dance. As Pluto, who transforms everything he connects with, resonates with the black hole, it's likely that we may face our darkest times. This is likely to be a huge and massive purging on a global scale of all that is dark, deep and fearful within us, of all that needs to be reworked and changed.

Pluto was discovered during Hitler's manic rein in Europe January 23, 1930. Get the picture. It's not pretty. Pluto's discovery brought Hitler's dark deeds to light. Pluto's last connection with the GC actually took place in 1745. This connection preceded the War for American Independence; started the Industrial Revolution; eventually dissolved the Slave Trade (1807) and initiated many reforms. Put 1745 into a Google search and you'll see what I mean. The purging of our darkest places leads to positive and powerful reforms.

Pluto is now in Sagittarius where he's exposing the dark side of belief systems and bringing truth to light (Enron greed, the Catholic Church and sexually abusive Priests, WMD in Iraq not being there, Abramoff payoffs etc.) After Pluto makes his connection with the GC he will leave the truth seeking sign of Sagittarius and move into Capricorn in 2008. Here he will utterly change governments and the way we do business. Indeed, our entire structure may completely transform. That's intense. But that's Pluto! He's intense.

Basically Pluto's transit to our Galactic Center is a purge. And it's not easy going through a cosmic purge. Remember the last time you had a purging? Made you feel weak when all that old gunk came up. But you felt lighter, freer for having done it. The trick is not to throw the baby out with the bath water. We need to keep what works. We also need a lot stamina. We need to boost our immune systems. We need frequent cleansing from the toxic dumping. We need to be flexible and open to course correct. Compassion, forgiveness and an iron will are our tools for success in our collective and personal transformation. Stand strong with an open heart and never give up!

Here's wishing us all the best of luck. We, after all, in this together.
