I'm a new
member as of yesterday. I would like some relationship help. I have been
single for a very long time. As I get older, being in a relationship at
this time of my life would be so wonderful. Can you see if there is
anything in my chart that looks promising?
Thanks
Carol

Dear Carol,
Both my apprentice Aubrey, and myself, have answered your question
(you’re getting two answers for the price of one :)). Please read below
to see what both of us have to say.
Blessings to you
Dulce
Hello Carol,
From the looks of your chart it seems that life has been testing you for
quite a while. I see an intensely creative woman with strong opinions
and bold ambition. On the flip side of that I also see a caring
sensitive soul who feels completely cut off, abandoned, or possibly
abused by her fellow man, therefore creating some problems in forming
lasting relationships. Especially where love is concerned, things have
been difficult for you. If I could hug you right now I would!
We need to talk about Chiron here; he is very active in your chart and
causing you some huts that you need to be aware of.
Clear back in January of 2000 you experienced your Chiron return. When
Chiron returns to its natal position, we return to our initial deepest
wounding. We revisit Old ghosts and demons we thought were long gone. In
that uncomfortable time, we realize where we carry our shame and hurts.
That January you began the process of gathering personal wisdom. As you
reflect on the results of your choices, you need to realize some things
just don't change.
What's most important is to take responsibility, but let go of harsh
self-recrimination. A Chiron return is an opportunity to stop rejecting
ourselves. Embrace yourself instead, and you'll open a portal to deep
self-knowledge. Accepting who you are, warts and all, creates tremendous
healing.
After this event Chiron has decided to spend some time with your natal
Venus in your 12th house. The Twelfth House is about endings. This house
also rules karma secret sorrows, fears, self-destruction, dreams,
self-undoing and self-injury. It is about your hidden strengths,
weaknesses and what you don't want others to see or know about. It is
also about hidden enemies. Chiron has been sitting there since April
2007 painfully reminding you and prodding you to heal these things. It
may seem that these feelings are taking over your life and are becoming
your Identity. This may be causing extreme feelings of loneliness. Your
sweet gentle Venus has been hurting for a while.
The good news is you are on the downward side of this particular
journey. Chiron will be moving on to pester someone else in January of
2010.
This gives you plenty of time to be aware of your hurts and to
appropriately deal with them. What are your fears? Surrender them to the
universe. What do you blame yourself or others for? Accepting that these
things happen is the key to forgiveness. Let them go.
To enter into a healthy loving relationship you must first accept and
love yourself. Get ready for some hard work and deep soul searching.
When you finally learn the lessons Chiron is trying to teach you, you
will be fully ready for all the love and harmony the universe is waiting
to give you. Best and warmest wishes. The storm is almost over.
Love and Light,
Aubrey

Dear Carol,
I’d like to add to Aubrey’s report that when you were born, Venus, the
planet of love, was retrograde, indicating a past hurt over a love
affair. (This love affair could be from this life or from a previous
incarnation). This has tended to make you shy away from intimate
relationships, perhaps finding solace in friendships, or even finding
that no man can match the perfection of that long lost love.
However, your Venus began to move forward, back into the world again,
looking for love in 1990. Do you recall your heart softening a little
then?
Now that Chiron is on your Venus you are moving even deeper into opening
your heart, as you dare to trust and hope that perhaps you can find
love. Love is the biggest issue you’re facing right now – no wonder
you’re asking the question, is there love for me out there? With Venus
in the most secluded part of your chart you’ve always felt that love is
something you could not have… until now. You finally feel like it is
possible! Chiron is the energy of consciousness. He is healing the part
of you that says you can’t have love. That’s because it’s not true – you
CAN have love, you should have love. But have you made a space for it?
Are you willing to be vulnerable, to open that fearful heart, to trust?
Where in your life are you giving love?
Love , like any energy, needs a home, a place to flow into and out of.
Your duty now is to create that space: to open your heart and dare to be
vulnerable. With Jupiter now in your sign I expect good things to come
your way!
Blessings to you sweetheart!

Dear Dulce,
When you and I talked in late December (Thank you
again.), you suggested I read about Chiron. Since then
I've read several books and articles about Chiron and am
trying to understand how that healing energy relates to
me. Actually how I can best utilize that energy to heal
myself from chronic illness and physical pain.
I noticed Chiron went retrograde recently through late
Oct and am wondering if you have any insights into what
Chiron retrograde means and/or how to use this time most
efficiently.
Any assistance is very much appreciated!
Thank you,
Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,
Good to hear from you. Isn't Chiron fascinating!
It is definitely the archetypal energy of the
Wounded Healer which is why I recommended you
study it since you suffer with chronic pain.
Please see my article on the Aquarian Consortium
to understand how Chiron works. In the article I
describe how Chiron’s healing power operates; in
essence, by taking us from pain to
consciousness. (The article was recently
published in The Mountain Astrologer magazine
and is now available on the site.)
As for retrograde periods - any retrograde of
any planet is for reflection, re-doing,
re-thinking etc. So for Chiron healing, and
wounding, take place deep within. The
interesting period is when he turns direct again
and we can see the results of that inner healing
in the outer world. This is because Chiron is a
process more than anything else. Melanie
Reinhart, who is an expert on Chiron, is very
clear about this: that Chiron is something you
“go through”. Its energy is a process, or a
passage way. Consider this retrograde period a
time of cellular intelligence where the
molecules of your body release their attachment
and addiction to pain, at least on some level,
and you consciously choose freedom over pain.
This can obviously take some time, and Chiron
people such as yourself, are required to have
patience.
I
hope that helps and much success to you in your
healing.
Your
astrologer,
Dulce
P.S. By the middle of August I will have Chiron
CDs for purchase. The CD outlines Chiron's
mythology, history and how it operates out in
the world and in your life. You will find it a
valuable resource.

Astrologers share a sense of foreboding about election
Agree that a time of upheaval is coming; Saturn, Uranus opposed on Nov.
4
May 21, 2008
By Joe Hanel | Herald Denver Bureau
DENVER - Forget about Tuesday's votes in Oregon and Kentucky. Barack
Obama has won the Cosmic Primary and is destined to be the next
president of the United States. Seven leading astrologers consulted
their charts and came to the unanimous conclusion, which they shared
Tuesday at the United Astrology Conference in Denver. Although the crowd
of several hundred cheered at the forecast, the seven panelists shared a
sense of foreboding.
"There are things that are going to happen in the next couple of months
that could turn the game into something different than we think it is
right now," said Shelley Ackerman, a New York City astrologer who
appears frequently on television and radio shows.
A time of upheaval is coming, they agreed. Election Day - Nov. 4 - will
put Saturn in opposition to Uranus, meaning the two planets are aligned
at opposite ends of the zodiac. Saturn symbolizes experience and the
establishment. Uranus is the planet of change and youth. When they are
opposed, the country sees a period of "revolutionary fervor," said
Raymond Merriman, the panel's moderator. The last Saturn-Uranus
opposition was from 1965-67, a time of drastic cultural change.
Other astrological events during the summer make the election
unpredictable. Democrats will gather in Denver for their national
convention in August - the same month as a solar eclipse and a partial
lunar eclipse.
The events raise the possibility of President Bush somehow interfering
with the election, said Robert Hand of Reston, Va.
In fact, most of the astrologers on the panel weren't sure if the winner
of the election would be the same person taking the oath of office on
Inauguration Day. Some of them expressed concern about Obama's personal
safety.
"I'm hoping they really pump up the security around him. I'm just really
concerned about that," said Sandra Leigh-Serio of Boulder. And the
election gets even trickier for astrologers. It's the single most
"screwed-up" election from an astrological perspective in decades, Hand
said. "We don't have a single solid birth chart, so this is going to be
very difficult," Hand said.
Astrologers think Hillary Clinton was born at 8:02 a.m. Oct. 26, that
John McCain was born at 9 a.m. Aug. 29 and that Obama was born at 7:11
p.m. Aug. 4. But those times might not be accurate, and if they're not,
then all bets are off with the candidates' astrological charts, Hand
said.
And most menacing of all, whoever wins might regret it. The charts don't
look good at all for Jan. 20, Inauguration Day. "Whoever gets sworn in,
it ain't going to work too well," Ackerman said.
Dear Cam,
Thanks for sending on this article. I was at UAC, the largest gathering
of astrologers in the world, in Denver this month. What a tremendous
honor it was to see and listen to Robert Hand! To my mind he is the
“father” of modern astrology and he is well steeped in Latin and
history. I met one of my heroes: Melanie Reinhart; sat at the banquet
table with Susan Millar from Astrology Zone; took a class on therapeutic
astrology from Donna Cunningham; listened to Raymond Millman, Kelley
Hunter, Barbara Schermer, Steven Forrest and others; heard talks on
Lilith, Sedna, Chiron, Uranus and so on; and congratulated Richard
Tarnas on his success in the world of academia and an award he won at
the conference. Overall, I was impressed by the caliber of minds who
taught at the conference and I came away heartened and strengthened.
If these brilliant folk say Obama’s the winner than I don’t doubt it –
but – I am deeply concerned. There are two eclipses this August that
affect Obama. The first is a solar eclipse at 9° Leo. His Sun is at 12°
Leo and thus out of the influence of the eclipse, however, we’re not
sure of his time of birth so this eclipse may have some
influence. The Lunar eclipse on August 16th opposes Barack’s Uranus.
This is dangerous. Unexpected happenings can occur within four days
(either side) of the eclipse. To me it looks like an assassination of
some sort – he may not be literally shot, but perhaps his reputation
takes a hard knock. He’s moving into dangerous waters and transiting
Uranus opposes his Mars increases the risk of accidents, as well as
sudden breakthroughs. If he were my client, I’d warn him to be careful,
and to seize opportunities where he can.
Interestingly enough, Scorpio Hillary, with her intuitive Pisces Moon,
stated just a few days ago that she was staying in the race because
Barack might get assassinated. Has she been talking to an astrologer, or
is Barack’s similarity to JFK, Abe Lincoln, and Martin Luther King just
too strong?
The Inauguration chart shows the voice of the people has been heard but
there’s an element of confusion. The practical thing has been done. Male
energy is strong though a woman provides some surprises. Unexpected
things are happening. Times are indeed changing. It appears as though as
strong person is at the helm.
To me, it looks like John McCain may take the job on January 20, 2009,
but I say that with a great deal of caution as Uranus plays tricks with
us here by overpowering McCain’s Saturn. Nothing is stable!
So, to answer your question Cam… yes, I agree with the panel at UAC. I
too am concerned for Barack. And I too can’t call a direct shot; there
are too many unknown variables, like missing birth data. But I will say
this, the upheaval we are in will redirect us toward greater health and
wholeness. Through crisis the USA will get back on track.

Dulce

Dear
Dulce,
I am in a quandary about what to do career wise. I am currently in a
position that gives me little satisfaction. While it's human service
oriented, which is good, too much of the work is just data input. I'm
bored but overworked, so doubly stressed. I have tried obtaining a new
position, have gotten close but not close enough. I am actually a
volunteer working for a civic cause and find it so exciting, and am
having a difficult time really attending to my day-to-day job. The
volunteer thing is definitely temporary and will end in the next few
weeks, but does help me remember my strengths.
I was trying to figure out how to do something about which I'm
passionate and to use my strengths. I've had a growing interest in
animal welfare and behavior. I thought about being more involved as a
volunteer with animal shelters but they are a bit far away from where I
live and would be limited to weekends. I was almost thinking I'd have to
wait until I retire to really do what I want. Then I had a brainstorm.
There is an outstanding animal sanctuary in a neighboring state, that
actually employs about 200 people both to care and rehabilitate their
hundreds of sheltered animals as well as to work with groups and promote
their no-kill philosophy. One part of me wants to go for it to follow my
passion, another questions moving to a smaller town in a conservative
community, leaving behind what I've begun to establish here. Does a move
for me look good in the not too distant future?
Thank you,
Mary
2/15/1951, Ohio, USA
Dear Mary,
Your chart is humming with activity! There are many things going on for
you but let's just cover the ones that you're feeling now. You are in a
paradoxical situation and here’s why:
You would be hard put to stay still under these skies. Your ruling
planet, zany and social Uranus is on the move and awakening you to the
power of tribe, service and the collective. His tremendous disruptive
energy is moving into the home sector of your chart and is thus also
activating your professional life. Your value systems are changing. You
will never be the same again. I can’t imagine how you will stay still
over the next couple of years. I urge you at this time to be careful,
especially while driving or using sharp objects. Stay away from angry
people. You may even feel irritated during this time. Uranus conjuncts
your Mars this year. This is a recipe for sudden change and can be very
exciting, but if you feel repressed this energy can “bounce back” as it
were, and hurt you. So please practice mindfulness between now and
January 2009 and do things that allow you the freedom this energy
craves.
The restlessness at the bottom of your chart is accompanied by pressure
from above. In other words, you feel you must stay still. What a paradox
this places you in! Your intuition to stay is correct as you are about
to harvest the fruits of all your efforts over the last several years.
By August of this year and through the next two and a half years, you
will reap all that you have sown, both professionally and personally.
This harvest may even include projects begun, or decisions made, some 14
years ago.
My astrological advice would be to make the necessary changes you need
too, so that you can harvest your hard work of the last years. Make
changes that allow you room to grow, go part time if you have to. Spend
more time doing the things you love. Apply for work that interests you,
but stay close to your harvest that you may enjoy it as it ripens.
By July of 2010 you will have reached a place of graduation and will be
very ready to end one chapter of your life and begin another. This date
marks your second Saturn return. This is a significant rite of passage.
The last time you felt this particular energy was in 1980 and in 1981.
Think back to that date and see if there are parallels with your journey
now.
If you like, consult with me regarding this new town. Astrocartography
allows us to examine the planetary energies of any town, anywhere in the
world. What may seem provincial to you now may be just the opposite.
You have plenty of love to share Mary, and you are a kind and
compassionate person. You are also highly social and are a valuable
asset to any group who should be lucky enough to connect with you. It’s
time to realize your value Mary. It’s time to grow.
Bless you.

Hi Dulce,
The last three years have been especially challenging for me! So much so
that I began to look to astrology to find some explanations, which it
has thankfully provided!
My question is whether my ex-boyfriend and I have a chance for the
future. I feel he is my soulmate, but
we had a difficult relationship and in my health crisis (that I have
been undergoing for the last few
years) I couldn't deal with extra stress so I broke off our engagement 1
1/2 yrs ago. I have since deeply
regretted this. As of now he has his reasons for not wanting to get back
together, but I know he still
loves me very much too. What do you think? Will we be able to overcome
our past and if so, are we a good match?
Thanks!
M. Alicia
My birth info is: July 1976 IL
His birth info is: October Pune, India
PS: Both my ex-boyfriend and I had a consultation in 2005, and I have
since been reading your website and just recently became a member! Thank
you for your insights!
Hi Alicia,
Relationship astrology looks at connections between people’s charts and
determines if those connections are favorable or not. Even unfavorable
connections have something to teach us, but we may not want the lesson.
There are strong connections between the two of you but they are 90
degrees apart indicating tension and stubbornness from both of you.
(Your Leo planets, and His Scorpio Sun, Taurus Moon) Yes, you can get
back together, but which of you will budge first? Which of you will make
the changes needed so you can be together?
Everyone has the capacity to overcome their past but it’s possible that
your ex feels you are just too unpredictable and too firmly entrenched
in your story. (His Sun conjuncts your Uranus). Yet there is the
possibility that things are changing, even now. With transiting Uranus
opposite your lover’s Venus, perhaps you will change and he will see
that change and welcome the movement. Or perhaps his values change and
he realizes how much he wants to be with you. With Uranus we don’t know
which way the wind will blow. It’s also possible that he has already
moved on, but you would know that.
Every relationship holds tremendous hope of happiness and there is no
doubt that you and your ex can enjoy that. With Neptune moving to oppose
your Moon you’re preparing yourself to love deeply. Perhaps your ex will
be the lucky man.
Much luck to both of you.

Dear Dulce,
I have recently been given the opportunity to take a path I had never
thought about before. As you know I have not really worked in years
either as a nurse or a teacher, due to several factors, one being my
Fibromyalgia.
Now fate has placed the chance to take a Real Estate course, a broker
who is willing to mentor me and will allow me to work from my home
rather than going into an office daily. After so long of being home
raising grand babies and such I must say the idea is very exciting for
me but also scares me silly.
What do you see for me Dear Dulce? Is this a new path for me to take and
grow?
Thank you so very much,
Mary Ann
Sept 1953
CO
Dear Mary Ann,
Isn’t it wonderful to know there are guardian angels walking the planet!
This broker is your new guardian angel. As Saturn enters your home sign
of Virgo for the first time in 29 years you are given an opportunity to
work with a teacher (Saturn) in a disciplined (Saturn) way. Saturn is
going to spend over two years with you – you might as well develop
something with his tremendous presence and strength. Think back to what
happened last time he hung out with you some 29 years ago.
Now keep in mind, this is Saturn. This means Work, with a capital “W” so
there won't be much slacking off during this time. Saturn also happens
to be very influential in real estate transactions, and rules realtors
in general – how appropriate for you!
As a service oriented, perfectionist Virgo I’d love to hire you. You
would leave no stone unturned in your quest for the perfect home for
your client. And, as behooves your health issues, you could probably set
your own hours and work as much or as little as you like – after
Saturn’s transit of course.
With your Moon in Libra you’re a perfect net-worker. People will enjoy
your presence and you know intuitively how to form ethical
relationships.
Now, we don’t know your time of birth but, if the time we have is
correct, then Pluto opposes your ascendant now. If this is the case you
are more than ready to shift your entire state of being and transform
your life in one way or another. Perhaps, dear Mary Ann, this is it.
You make the call and much success to you with whatever you choose to
do!

Dulce
