Hi Dulce,

Please explain to me astrologically why I’m being increasingly disorganized and unfocused as I’m becoming more and more passionate about my art and healing touch training?

Thanks
Donna
April 22, 1953 USA

Hi Donna,

You were born to be passionate! Your highly creative Leo Moon (emotions) is held tight by controlling, yet passionate Pluto. You’ve been passionate and creative your whole life but could never let go, until now. Now wounded healer Chiron (there’s your healing touch), abundant Jupiter (teaching and studies) and dreamy inspiring Neptune are exactly opposite your Moon/Pluto. In other words dear Donna, it’s time to open from the heart and to enjoy your artistic gifts! It’s time to not only open to give but to open to receive. The problem is, Neptune is fuzzy and confusing and Jupiter wants to do it all; thus your current dilemma.

Enjoy. It’ll only be until the end of this year (2009) that these planets will linger in this sensitive, passion releasing spot. But then following that you’ve got erratic liberating Uranus tickling your ascendant for a full year! Oh my! What will you do with that outrageously wonderful, electrical, genius, yet somewhat disruptive energy?

We’ll talk about that more face to face.

Blessings and have fun!

Dulce,
When is this going to end???
I lost a good paying job b/c of a change in personality from meds I was on due to MS.I am trying to find a place to live after my relationship w/my boyfriend went kaput.I am having extreme pain in my leg due to joint and muscle issues NOT related to MS.
I have gained 20 pounds and feel just miserable.
When?
thanks,

Hello Blondebat,

I’m sorry to hear of your troubles. There’s a lot going on in your chart and my heart goes out to you.

Firstly, powerful Pluto is at the top of your chart and secondly, unpredictable Uranus is on your Pisces ascendant. This indicates that the entire structure of your life is reorganizing. It’s going to be an exciting time at best and a crazy one at worst. Your intention is the only way you can steer these changes to a successful outcome.

In these changing times you have to guide your life in the direction you want it to go. By the middle of next year you will be at the place you want to be. In order to make this work out well, with great success, you must not give up. You must hold the course, spend time in gratitude and realize this will all soon be over.

Finally, you’re beginning the process of your Chiron return. This is something that happens to all of us around the age of 50. Chiron’s passage through your chart is merely drawing your attention to where you need to heal. You’ll be completely through this powerful rite of passage by winter 2011. Now, the symptoms you’re describing can leave at any time. You don’t have to wait until then.

Chiron operates through both pain and consciousness. Currently all you’re experiencing is the pain part of Chiron. Chiron can and does, usher in tremendous enlightenment and peace. Your job is to have compassion for yourself as you address the issues you’ve raised one by one. I have made a wonderful CD on Chiron - you can order it for yourself  here Classes

There is a most important question you can ask yourself at this time “What do I want my life to look like?” Keep the answer to this question most powerfully in your mind and held in the cells of your body. It is the direction you are going.

Blessings to you as you navigate this difficult, but exciting time. It’s highly possible your life may look better than it ever has before by the time this is all over!

Dulce,

I was hoping that you could provide information regarding the Mayan/Aztec calendar's prediction of the end of current period of "time", particularly any astrological, correlation between their prediction of the end of the world as we know in December of 2012?

Thank You in advance for your time!

Patti
Cancer from North Dakota

Hi Patti,

Thanks for your patience and this excellent and timely question. Much anticipated attention has been given to this subject. My studies lead me to this understanding: that there is an emergence of the “underworld” the hidden shadow of the human collective unconscious that emerges from the dark with the Dual-Creator God who comes in, in 2011.
(Calleman). This archetypal shadow is revealed so that the world may heal its dualism; the same dualism that Descartes introduced over 300 years ago and we’ve lived with ever since.

Here’s a western astrological perspective for you:

There are new planet placements in the chart for December 21st 2012 – planets that have already begun moving into these positions, like Pluto in Capricorn for the first time in 249 years, Neptune in Pisces for the first time in over 160 years, Chiron in Pisces for the first time in 50 years, and Uranus in Aries for the first time in 84 years. You get the picture - this is a powerful scene. But there is no one thing in particular that says an ending is nigh.

One thing is new however, and that is the winter solstice occurs at the center of our Milky Way December 21, 2012. Apparently this has not happened for over 26,000 years. But how can this hurt us? The Galactic Center is just shy of 27 degrees Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the great teacher and the source of much wisdom. Perhaps through this portal will come a great teacher or further enlightening knowledge. We'll have to wait and see!

We must keep in mind is that things occur in cycles, and unfold as such. We are currently now, in a major world shift in which all the rules are re-arranging themselves. I suggest you read my recent articles. They provide the unfolding drama of these absolutely incredible times.

Astrologer Stephanie Austin says and most astrologers including myself agree: “The year 2012, the date given for this shift, (dimensional shift) is not the end of the world, just the end of how we have been experiencing it.”

I feel this is an accurate statement especially in light of our awareness that we create our own reality. Indigenous people knew this, especially when they participated in shamanic rituals and dreams states; states we lost a long time ago when we became attached to the linear western paradigm of time is money and so on.

Astrologer Philip Sedgwick says this about the Mayan Calendar based on a recent week-long astrology conference where it was a hot topic of discussion: “Deal with the patterns now and to come in the next year or so and forget about 2012. The large consensus was 2012 is a deal of consciousness, not cataclysm. Reformation and change, yes. Actually, the Earth has lived through cycles equivalent to those touted by the conclusion of this Mayan Calendar. It made it through. As we can make it through now and more easily, I suspect, if a return to well-rooted consciousness prevails"

I say “Amen brother.” That is my conclusion as well.

Let’s end this discussion with a quote from Carl Calleman PhD out of his book Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness. “We are all one. The universe, our galaxy, our planet, and all living manifestations are all under the same law of creation and are synchronized to the energy changes describe by the tzolkin. Our destiny will not be fully experienced before Day Seven of the Universal Underworld. The last uinal of creation starts October 8 and ends on the tzolkin day 13 Ahau, October 28, 2011. This is when the purpose of creation is fulfilled.”

If you know what the purpose of creation is dear Patti, please let me know.

With love,

Dulce

I am now looking for a new career. How can I best be of service in these difficult times and survive and flourish as well? What's next?

Susan
1957
CA USA

Dear Susan,

There is no greater time than now to re-invent yourself. Pluto’s recent transit across the oldest part of your astrological chart has transformed your life in deep and mysterious ways. You have full cosmic permission to become anything you want. However, there are some restraints. This year you appear to be held to your duties and obligations above all else. Discover yourself yes, but don’t forget your duties.

Your intuition is right on – you want to be of service to others, indeed, your development involves service, especially at this time.

Taking a closer look at your chart, I see that you may choose some position or task that benefits the helpless or lost. This comes from the progression of your intelligent Aquarian Sun through last degrees of compassionate Pisces. In other words, re-invent yourself- yes, but forget about others – no. You have much karma to fulfill over the next three plus years before you can do something that’s just for you.

What exactly you choose to do during this time is up to you. You will know which path to choose through the use of your excellent intuition and through the connections and feeling you get from others. You are very talented and can do just about anything that interests you. Don’t get too involved though, as by the middle of this year you find your attention diverted to other areas. Keep an open mind, be flexible, and possibly take short term jobs, until you discover exactly what this other career diversion might be.

By mid 2013 you’ll be at the door of your new life and career. Part of it will be a harvest of all the professional seeds you’ve sown over the last 14 years. The last seven years (some of this being the years you’re in now) yield particularly rich results in 2013 as you reap the rewards of your networking and good works.

What’s next is what you make of it.

Enjoy!
Your astrologer,
Dulce

Hiya,

Currently I am working on my Masters degree in Plant Ecology and hoping to finish in June (Which will be when I finish school and move into the 'real world' for the first time). I have also recently been diagnosed with depression, and started taking medication and seeing a counselor (which is also awkward because admitting to a mental illness has a sort of stigma in my family). To say I am going through a major transition in life is an understatement. It is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel because I am so wrapped up in all of these changes. I do feel like I am becoming a different person (in a good way). I am hoping you have some advice from my charts on if there is a light at the end of the tunnel and what awaits me these next 6 months while I try to finish my degree.

Thank you so much! ~ C
Birth date: December 5th, 1984 Colorado

Hello dear C,

Congratulations on nearing completion of your Masters! That is quite an accomplishment.

I’m going to keep it simple in answering your question. You have a complicated and interesting chart and I look forward to the day we can meet face to face and I can guide you through the complexities that make you uniquely you!

As to the next six months: your focus seems to move from your health and work into the area of partnership – both for working relationships and personal ones. This is a very positive beneficial move that occurs every 12 years. You will notice that by this year’s end things will lighten for you as you receive support from others. I anticipate that you will find good employment with like-minded souls.

As to your mental health: wounded healer Chiron has made a long sustained pass over your Mars which represents (out of many things) your physical and mental health as your Mars is in the intellectual sign of Aquarius. In the summer of 2009 benevolent Jupiter will pass over this same point bringing healing balm where once there was crisis. If you can be patient, you may well and truly be done with medication, under your doctor’s supervision of course, by that time.

This time period also corresponds to Pluto’s pass over your thinking Mercury. Pluto’s connection with Mercury often leads to mental imbalance for a brief while. Pluto’s obsessive qualities help us achieve huge amounts of mental work and keep us up late at night thinking and thinking but this can deplete the synaptic gap and the nuero-transmitters that keep us mentally healthy. In other words dear C, the spot you find yourself in now may well be due to mental exhaustion. The good news is that it is passing, leaving you a more developed person in the long run. (We can talk more about what this means to you when we meet.)

Be brave and keep going! This is not a stigma but a temporary condition after a long run!

I am excited about what lies ahead for you!

Hi Dulce,

I hope you are having a wonderful summer. I have a question about Sedna. Does this entity, planet, essence...show up in your readings? If so, is she active in some way in mine at this time?

Thank you!!

Jo Ann
March 1948 CO USA

Dear Jo Ann,

Summer has been wonderful, thank you! I wish I had spent more time on the river or in the mountains but I treasure every moment I had in nature.

Speaking of nature and Sedna … they are deeply entwined. Sedna is a powerful archetypal influence whose emergence corresponds to our current global crisis of warming, species extinction, rain forest devastation, erosion, flooding and so on. Sedna’s presence heralds a powerful warning to everyone currently on planet Earth that it is up to us, each one of us, to reduce our carbon footprint and to restore, rather than take, whenever and wherever possible.

In light of our current financial crisis in the USA Sedna’s role becomes even clearer. We are to get by with what we have. It’s important to cherish what we already own rather than consume more. Desperate as these times are, they are also an invitation to appreciate what we have, to be more fully present, and to treat our bounty with reverence. This is Sedna’s message.

In mythology, Sedna survived an undersea drowning through sheer will. Her fingers, cut from her hands by her father desperate to escape a huge storm created by Sedna’s angry husband, became sea creatures. In other words, she shows us how to regenerate from nothing. She shows us how to survive.

All of us currently living have Sedna in either the pioneering sign of Aries (1867 – 1968) or the earth centered sign of Taurus (1968- 2024) . In your chart Jo Ann, Sedna is in Aries and sits in your house of highest potential. Somehow Sedna’s message corresponds directly with your message. She forms a perfect trine with other fire planets in your chart giving you drive, ambition and a personal philosophy that motivates you and others toward a healthier, happier planet. You are a Sedna person Jo Ann. You are a survivor. You may be interested in a new world. You may have an innate sense of where we’re going as a species and may have new ideas with which to guide others.

Though Sedna is in a fire sign in your chart – she is a watery entity. For you, Jo Ann, a watery being yourself, it suggests a precious connection to spirit via the emotional body. The closer you listen to your emotions the more Sedna will whisper to you across the vast distances of space.

Bless you in your work!

August 28, 2008

Hi, Dulce,

My life seems to have come to a complete halt. My two best work buddies retired on the same day two months ago. I now have no confidants at work, and it's a long drudge every day until quitting time. I love my job, but laughter and friendly faces make it so much better and now that's gone.

I lack energy and purpose, and see my life winding down. My family have all passed away now, except for my only child, a grown son who has recently moved back in with me, but who has problems of his own (financial and emotional).

I cannot retire as I struggle with finances. What's ahead for me? I need a little life line and something to life my spirits. Thank you.

Rondi
August 7, 1945
Oregon

P.S. I have been reading your site for a long time, and today subscribed and became a member.

Dear Rondi,

Bless you in this time of change and loss. Clearly things are a little tough for you and the way ahead seems foggy. Here’s the astrospeak for it all: Neptune oppose ascendant, Chiron oppose Sun/ascendant, Jupiter conjunct south node, Saturn in the first house, and Pluto oppose Venus.

But let’s not get hung up on the mysterious language of astrology – unless you want to join me down at Gateway, CO for a week starting September 14th where you’ll learn what all of this means. Though I would suggest you get the Chiron CD from me as you’re a Chiron being in the middle of a Chiron transit.

Basically you have described your position very well. We all need something to look forward to and quite frankly you can’t see the way ahead, and what used to be joyful has become sheer drudgery. But, there is a cosmic reason, or should we say that the Divine has a grand plan here. And that grand plan, my dear, is to activate and open your incredible creative, warm and loving heart. You are far more than your job! You have much more to offer and other places in which to shine.

Why were you born dear Rondi? The astrological response would be to say that you’re here to share your love and to open your home and heart (Venus conjunct north node in Cancer). It’s interesting that your grown son has chosen this time to return to your life.

As a fun loving Leo, playfulness and loyalty come easily to you but now that your best confidantes are gone who is going to receive that love of yours? This is a major theme for your life. The questions you’re asking now are keys to your soul’s development. What has meaning for you? What is valuable to you? You have a unique signature in your chart that suggests you are capable of inspiring and cheering others up. And, looking at the way the planets are moving around your chart you have yet to fully develop this wonderful gift.

You are also tremendously resourceful (Pluto conjunct Sun and Moon) and have the ability to start your life over when you’re periodically knocked back. It’s time to activate your get-up and go Rondi. It’s time to evaluate your gifts, skills and values. You are needed. There is a community orientation to your chart. You’re here to give your gift to the community. Your lucky friends at work have been your community but they are no longer. Now you must stretch beyond the work environment into the larger one. Where are you most needed? Where do you want to apply your skills and to whom do you want to give your gift? It would be a sad day for the planet should you decide that you have nothing left to do for others. What a waste of your wonderful personality!

It’s not out of the question that once you do inventory on your talents and values you’ll be drawn into a new social group which might provide employment for you. I know change is not that appealing to you and you may dread having to take on new tasks or challenges, yet that appears to be what lies ahead for you. You are being invited to grow and that growth occurs when the path in front of us fills with obstacles. You’re invited to take a detour dear Rondi, into the unexplored regions of your talents. This is going to require your faith and your great sense of humor.

Have fun and let us know how it turns out!

I'm a new member as of yesterday. I would like some relationship help. I have been single for a very long time. As I get older, being in a relationship at this time of my life would be so wonderful. Can you see if there is anything in my chart that looks promising?
Thanks

Dear Carol,

Both my apprentice Aubrey, and myself, have answered your question (you’re getting two answers for the price of one :)). Please read below to see what both of us have to say.

Blessings to you

Dulce

Hello Carol,

From the looks of your chart it seems that life has been testing you for quite a while. I see an intensely creative woman with strong opinions and bold ambition. On the flip side of that I also see a caring sensitive soul who feels completely cut off, abandoned, or possibly abused by her fellow man, therefore creating some problems in forming lasting relationships. Especially where love is concerned, things have been difficult for you. If I could hug you right now I would!

We need to talk about Chiron here; he is very active in your chart and causing you some huts that you need to be aware of.
Clear back in January of 2000 you experienced your Chiron return. When Chiron returns to its natal position, we return to our initial deepest wounding. We revisit Old ghosts and demons we thought were long gone. In that uncomfortable time, we realize where we carry our shame and hurts.

That January you began the process of gathering personal wisdom. As you reflect on the results of your choices, you need to realize some things just don't change.

What's most important is to take responsibility, but let go of harsh self-recrimination. A Chiron return is an opportunity to stop rejecting ourselves. Embrace yourself instead, and you'll open a portal to deep self-knowledge. Accepting who you are, warts and all, creates tremendous healing.

After this event Chiron has decided to spend some time with your natal Venus in your 12th house. The Twelfth House is about endings. This house also rules karma secret sorrows, fears, self-destruction, dreams, self-undoing and self-injury. It is about your hidden strengths, weaknesses and what you don't want others to see or know about. It is also about hidden enemies. Chiron has been sitting there since April 2007 painfully reminding you and prodding you to heal these things. It may seem that these feelings are taking over your life and are becoming your Identity. This may be causing extreme feelings of loneliness. Your sweet gentle Venus has been hurting for a while.

The good news is you are on the downward side of this particular journey. Chiron will be moving on to pester someone else in January of 2010.

This gives you plenty of time to be aware of your hurts and to appropriately deal with them. What are your fears? Surrender them to the universe. What do you blame yourself or others for? Accepting that these things happen is the key to forgiveness. Let them go.
To enter into a healthy loving relationship you must first accept and love yourself. Get ready for some hard work and deep soul searching. When you finally learn the lessons Chiron is trying to teach you, you will be fully ready for all the love and harmony the universe is waiting to give you. Best and warmest wishes. The storm is almost over.

Love and Light,
Aubrey

Dear Carol,

I’d like to add to Aubrey’s report that when you were born, Venus, the planet of love, was retrograde, indicating a past hurt over a love affair. (This love affair could be from this life or from a previous incarnation). This has tended to make you shy away from intimate relationships, perhaps finding solace in friendships, or even finding that no man can match the perfection of that long lost love.

However, your Venus began to move forward, back into the world again, looking for love in 1990. Do you recall your heart softening a little then?

Now that Chiron is on your Venus you are moving even deeper into opening your heart, as you dare to trust and hope that perhaps you can find love. Love is the biggest issue you’re facing right now – no wonder you’re asking the question, is there love for me out there? With Venus in the most secluded part of your chart you’ve always felt that love is something you could not have… until now. You finally feel like it is possible! Chiron is the energy of consciousness. He is healing the part of you that says you can’t have love. That’s because it’s not true – you CAN have love, you should have love. But have you made a space for it? Are you willing to be vulnerable, to open that fearful heart, to trust? Where in your life are you giving love?

Love , like any energy, needs a home, a place to flow into and out of. Your duty now is to create that space: to open your heart and dare to be vulnerable. With Jupiter now in your sign I expect good things to come your way!

Blessings to you sweetheart!

Dear Dulce,

When you and I talked in late December (Thank you again.), you suggested I read about Chiron.  Since then I've read several books and articles about Chiron and am trying to understand how that healing energy relates to me.  Actually how I can best utilize that energy to heal myself from chronic illness and physical pain.

I noticed Chiron went retrograde recently through late Oct and am wondering if you have any insights into what Chiron retrograde means and/or how to use this time most efficiently.

Any assistance is very much appreciated!

Thank you,
Cheryl
10/25/47, TX, USA

 Hi Cheryl,

Good to hear from you. Isn't Chiron fascinating! It is definitely the archetypal energy of the Wounded Healer which is why I recommended you study it since you suffer with chronic pain. Please see my article on the Aquarian Consortium to understand how Chiron works. In the article I describe how Chiron’s healing power operates; in essence, by taking us from pain to consciousness. (The article was recently published in The Mountain Astrologer magazine and is now available on the site.)

As for retrograde periods - any retrograde of any planet is for reflection, re-doing, re-thinking etc. So for Chiron healing, and wounding, take place deep within. The interesting period is when he turns direct again and we can see the results of that inner healing in the outer world. This is because Chiron is a process more than anything else. Melanie Reinhart, who is an expert on Chiron, is very clear about this: that Chiron is something you “go through”. Its energy is a process, or a passage way. Consider this retrograde period a time of cellular intelligence where the molecules of your body release their attachment and addiction to pain, at least on some level, and you consciously choose freedom over pain. This can obviously take some time, and Chiron people such as yourself, are required to have patience.

I hope that helps and much success to you in your healing.

 Your astrologer,
  Dulce

P.S. By the middle of August I will have Chiron CDs for purchase. The CD outlines Chiron's mythology, history and how it  operates out in the world and in your life. You will find it a valuable resource.
