Greetings Earthlings,
Is your heart singing with the beauty of it all? Birds sing all day long over here, serenading the wonders of life on Earth with their tiny voices.
We are deep in the heart of Kali Yuga, an age of great darkness and despair. The ability to share your love and show your gratitude to the world is masterful and could be the very reason you’ve incarnated at this time. This very difficult time of bombarding news, random violence, destructive wars, and the 6th Extinction.
Did you get that? The very reason you incarnated at this time is so that your ability to love and bless is honed and strengthened. Think about that. Feel it. Rise up into it. Rise into the power of love.
Let the airy energy of mercurial Gemini help lift your spirits. Here’s how June rolls along:
As the month begins, intense feelings accompany the waxing Scorpio Moon. Ideas and emotions aren’t always on the same page. The tension releases with the Sagittarian Full Moon at 9:40pm (MDT) on June 3rd. It’s clear that things are changing. Those who insist on staying the same will struggle against the tide. Be flexible. Open your mind. Think broadly and expand your vision.
June 5th, and little Mercury, the ruling planet for Gemini, connects with its higher octave Uranus. Expect the unexpected and think outside the box. Since we’re experiencing Uranus in Taurus, issues around food, weather, climate change and the health of our soils and water, predominate. Talk about these things. Get involved.
Early on June 5th, gracious Venus leaves emotional Cancer for bold Leo. Put on your party hats, ladies! Venus will retrograde in Leo later this summer, (July 23rd to early September) so it behooves you to pay attention to where you place your attention. It may be an area you revisit further down the road. Venus in Leo prefers bold colors and strong actions so before you think about a big “what the hell” kind of purchase, or love affair, ask yourself if it’s something you can live with in the long term.
As soon as Venus enters Leo, she opposes powerful Pluto suggesting a struggle of some kind. This may take place in Washington, with the debt ceiling (groan!); the stock market, or your local hangout. Notice what emotions arise in you over the next few days. This is especially noticeable on the 7th when the Moon adds its energy to the opposition. And on the 8th, as the Moon opposes Mars. Don’t get your knickers in a knot! Drama is best done on stage.
The Moon begins its last quarter phase on the 9th, with a conjunction with stern Saturn. Let your intuition guide you.
Early on June 11th, Mercury leaves the sensual languidness of Taurus for speedy Gemini. The pace increases.
Around the same time, retrograding Pluto leaves his new terrain of Aquarius to re-enter Capricorn. It looks like the same-old, same-old is back again until late January 2024. Pluto will continue its cuspy dance one more time (November 2024) until moving into Aquarius for sure. This is like buying time, avoiding the societal shifts that are surely coming with Pluto in the sign of humanity, not government (Capricorn) as the latter struggles to maintain.
Tension and change build in the days preceding the Gemini New Moon at 10:35 pm (MDT) on June 17th. This New Moon feels like a fresh start, a rewiring of the nervous system, a way to look at things with new eyes. Take the opportunity to turn what you know on its head and see things differently. Saturn turns retrograde now taking our lessons and learning inside. How appropriate!
But the biggest cosmic news is Sedna, our outermost dwarf planet. She’s just left Taurus for Gemini after her long (11,500 year) orbit around the Sun. Perhaps her sojourn through Gemini will educate us in how we can adapt to the very conditions we ourselves have changed. Her story is one of loss and transformation. It involves the ocean and sea creatures, the very bodies that are now in peril. Any moves Sedna makes are worth noting since her orbit is so slow and long. Check out her story and see how it applies to you personally. There is no doubt, her move is a global message for us all — change or perish.
We approach the magic of Summer Solstice as the Moon travels through warm Leo, connecting with Venus and Mars. What a sight to see! Be sure to look up just after sunset, which is quite late considering the length of day!
Summer Solstice early on June 21st marks the longest day of the year and is imbued with pagan ritual. How can you celebrate the turning of the wheel?
We are now in Cancer energy. A time to connect with family and other loved ones. A time to feel into your life and cherish the people and goals you’re interested in.
The 25th and 26th, the Libra Moon squares the Sun and opposes tender Chiron. This may feel like a growth spurt, or a wound. Diplomacy helps.
Deep discussions on the 28th and 29th lead to resolution at month’s end when the Moon enters light-hearted, but sometimes dogmatic, Sagittarius. Which would you rather be – right or happy?
Thanks for reading and I’ll see you back here next month!
